As a mother of four children, Patience Agbodzie heavily understood both the ups and downs of pregnancy; as parents, both her and Alphonse faced and acknowledged numerous challenges, such as trying to balance education and work, while continuing to be pillars of support for their children and family overseas. As doctors of nursing practice, the Agbodzies' primary medical specialty revolves around family health, which further influenced them to seek alternate opportunities to assist in fostering nurturing atmospheres for families who may need help getting or staying on their feet.

 

Given their active backgrounds in family care and their hunger to help where and whenever they can, Women and Children of Grace was founded by husband-and-wife Alphonse and Patience Agbodzie, born in separate regions of Ghana with a shared vision to give back to the communities that allowed them to flourish as parents and active members of their communities.
